Melissa began her writing journey as a young poet before transitioning to storytelling. Her works tend to fall into the speculative fiction category and she has a particular soft spot for middle grade contemporary with a dash of fantasy. She lives with her two sons and rescue pug in WNY where the Buffalo Bills have her heart. She is also the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Epistemic Literary and Nimblewitlit Magazines.
